High Performance Cluster Checklist
Building a cluster, especially for high performance, requires several elements and several elements to work in tandem to get the performance in unison.

A HPC cluster is many nodes put together in a networked scenario to output high-performance workloads. Creating the building blocks is very important as a HPC cluster is simply put, a few, or many, elements that combine to make the cluster.
Compute – 1U Supermicro Ultra
For the compute element of the GPU cloud, we recommend using SuperMicros Ultra SuperServer. We have extensive experience building this out as the compute node. It has 32 DIMM Slots, which can fit up to 8TB DRAM. For the CPU element, it supports Dual Socket P+ (LGA-4189) 3rd Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processors.

Building a cluster, especially for high performance, requires several elements and several elements to work in tandem to get the performance in unison.

Building a #HPC cluster is challenging, especially with the variety of hardware and software options that are available. With the ever-changing hardware landscape, especially at the high-performance end, it can be wise to split your decision into several elements and also future-proof your hardware.

HPC Clusters are becoming more and more common and they are coming in many variations. Put simply, an HPC cluster is many networked computing nodes put together for a particular use case. It’s a cluster of high performing compute nodes.
