GPU & RAID – an unexpected pairing

Tags:

Using a GPU as a raid controller is not something you would expect to hear among a conversation with server administrators. A US startup, GRAID, has a product called SupremeRAID, the SR-1010. It can have over 100GBps of read throughput and over 19 million IOPS – pretty impressive!

A broadcom MegaRAID card can do around 14GBps and less than 250,000 IOPS on reads – a sizable difference.

The SupremeRAID SR-1010 is an RTX A2000, and it runs PCIe 4.0 The write speed is incredible and the reads have no limits. Bottleneck free.

We have a lot more information available and we specialize in large RAID configurations and private clouds.  Talk to us by using the form below, and one of our expert team will be in touch.
