AMD launches Opteron 6000 series processors
Coming on the heels of Intelâ„¢s production of the new Xeon 5600 processors, AMD has launched the Opteron 6000 series processors today. AMD performance tests indicate that it outperforms Intelâ„¢s new processors and consumes less power. On top of that, the price tag is significantly lower on the AMD processors. I am interested to see how Intel responds to these claims.
