We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We were certainly thankful to have a couple days of relaxation. November has been a big month for us. Earlier in the month we released our GPU supercomputing solutions. Now we have a new set of superserver systems powered by the recently-released AMD Opteron™ 6200-series processors.

Just a couple weeks ago I wrote about new processors from both Intel and AMD. AMD’s 6200-series includes their much-awaited 16-core processor (code-named Interlagos) and utilizes their new Bulldozer architecture. One of the most desirable aspects of these new processors is that they have far superior performance compared to the previous 6100 line, but they remain compatible with the widely-used Socket G34 motherboards. This makes them quite flexible in application.

ICC has released a number of new systems with the AMD Opteron™ 6200 processors in various configurations to meet a wide range of needs. Four of our select systems provide a great snapshot of the different types of solutions we have developed.

Power Servers – ICC 1012G-MT (1U Single-Processor) and 1022G-NT (1U Dual-Processor)

New ICC Power Servers, powered by AMD Processors

These systems are known as “power servers” because they pack a processing power punch much bigger than their size. At only a 1U form factor, they are the most economical when it comes to saving space. These systems feature the latest processing technology from AMD (ready to handle an 8- or 16-core processor) and a high-efficiency chassis from SuperMicro®.

  • AMD Opteron™ 6200-series processor (8/16 Core Ready)
  • 4 x 3.5″ Hot-swap SATA drive bays (SAS/SATA drives for 1022G-NT)
  • Dual-port Gigabit Ethernet Controller
  • 1012G-MT comes enclosed in a GOLD-certified energy efficient system

Value+ Server – ICC 2012G (2U Single Processor)

Our featured 2U server takes up more space than the 1U systems but more than makes up for it in terms of what it provides. The 2012G offers greater possibilities for your business with twice the number of drive bays but only slightly greater cost from the 1012G-MT single processor 1U server. The 2012G strikes the perfect balance among cost, processing power, and drive space, for those who want the benefits of a larger system but do not want to shell out for an additional processor.

  • AMD Opteron 6200-series processor (8/16 Core Ready)
  • 8 x 3.5″ Hot-swap SATA drive bays
  • 2x PCI-E 2.0 x8 (1 in x16 slot), 1x PCI-E x4 (x8 slot)
  • 560W High-efficiency power supply (optional redundant 720W)

UIO Server – ICC 2022G-U (2U Dual Processor)

The ICC 2012G Value+ and 2022G-U UIO SuperServers share a common chassis

Of the four ICC servers featured, this is the one to go after if performance is your only consideration. UIO servers allow users to select from a wide range of I/O options to provide the ultimate in storage and networking flexibility. The 2022G-U combines the drive space of the 2012G with the dual processing power of the 1022G-NT. This is the system for those who don’t compromise on their server solutions. Yet ICC’s exceptional value allows this system to remain within budget, starting at only $1,448. (You can buy at MacBook for more than that!)

  • Dual AMD Opteron 6200 Series (8/16 Core ready)
  • Up to 256 GB U/RDDR3 ECC 1333/1066 in 16 DIMMs
  • 1/2 UIO/Ex8 or 1/1 UIO/Ex16; or 3 Ex8 (Gen 2.0)
  • 560W high-efficiency power supply with PMBus; (Optional) Dual Redundant 720W Power Supply upgrade

These are only a few of the systems we have to help your business grow. We also offer UIO+, Power+, 4U, and multi-core processor solutions for the major-league HPC players. If you are interested in learning more about how our AMD-powered superserver systems can help you, feel free to contact us or try building your server today.

  1. I WANT TO KNOW YOUR NEW GAMING SYSTEM, AND ALSO ITS PRICES,

    • Colin Cronin says:

We don’t sell “gaming systems” per say. Our focus is in enterprise IT. We do have some GPU server products, but they are mostly server systems (one workstation) and more used for business applications/computations. If you have some specific requirements feel free to let me know and I will look into it to see if we anything that would meet your needs.
